This workshop is a field trip to visit five rare moss species on the Plumas National Forest. Participants will learn field identification characteristics of rare moss species listed as Sensitive by Region 5 of the U.S. Forest Service or as rare bryophyte taxa (CRPR 2) by the California Native Plant Society.

Colin Dillingham will be your field trip leader. Colin recently published “A Catalogue of the Mosses of Plumas National Forest, California” in Madroño (2015). He has been studying mosses of the Plumas National Forest since at least 2001.
